I love the learning process from both the teacher and student perspectives. I love learning and growing and helping others do the same. As a LPC Supervisor, I seek to create a learning environment for LPC Candidates that promotes a lifelong learning philosophy founded in curiosity and discovery. Helping others implement this aspect into their counseling practice is my main goal and why I chose to become a LPC Supervisor.
I believe that our thoughts and feelings are energy and if we don’t process those thoughts and feelings, our bodies store that energy. Engaging in somatic processes, mindfulness, self-expression, self-acceptance, and practices to build resilience, we can begin to release that stored energy, and healing can happen.
In the supervision process, using learning objectives, we can work with different theories such as CBT, ACT, DBT, somatic processes, mindfulness, and Positive Psychology. This exploration of these concepts can help you to grow into a well-rounded mental health professional who is competent and able to facilitate your client’s journey on their path to curiosity and self-discovery.
